WORLD BANK DELIGHTED FOR GEORGIA’S MAINTAINED ECONOMIC GROWTH RATE



Phone conversation has been held between H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia and Mr. Frank Heemskerk, Executive Director of the World Bank.
Discussion was related to the current developments in the country’s economy, progress reached within projects implemented with World Bank support and future prospects of economic growth. Parties also talked about cooperation of the country with the World Bank. As mentioned by the Executive Director, he is delighted that economic growth rate has been successfully maintained in Georgia and that it exceeds those of some European countries and post-soviet-bloc countries.
Parties also expressed hope for discussing the cooperation between the World Bank and Georgia in more detail at bilateral sessions within the scope of Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Washington D.C.
