GEORGIA HOSTS CHIEF NEGOTIATORS MEETING OF AIIB



Georgia is hosting yet another keynote event.
6th Round of Chief Negotiators’ Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on August 24-25, 2015. Event will be attended by officials from 57 founding countries.
Georgia is among the founding countries of the AIIB. Main areas of the Bank’s operation are the improvement of trade relations in Asia through investments in infrastructure, production and manufacturing. Charter capital of the Bank is 100 billion USD.
Various important issues related to the incorporation and operation of AIIB will be discussed in Tbilisi. Selection of its President is among such issues.
It is important that General Secretary of AIIB and Deputy Minister of Finance of the People’s Republic of China will have bilateral meetings with Georgian authorities during the visit.
Delegation will interact with H.E. Irakli Gharibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia, H.E. Norad Javakhishvili, Minister of Infrastructure an Regional Development of Georgia.
Visitors will get exposed to the investment potential of Georgia in different sectors of the economy and its business environment.
