As instructed by H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, Ministry of Finance is actively working on the liberalisation of the tax system. Namely, focus is made on the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and introduction of a so called Estonian model.
Series of meetings are held with this purpose. They are chaired by Minister Khaduri. One of such meetings was held today to discuss the principles of the reform agenda.
Minister of Finance once again stressed the importance of the reform. He noted that a concept paper is being developed and will be shortly submitted to the Executive Government Meeting. Ultimately, it will be communicated to the Parliament of Georgia for discussions. Consultations with international organizations and donor agencies have been launched.
