Georgian Revenue Service (GRS) of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia celebrated the Professional Day of Customs Officers on January 26, 2016. Since joining the World Customs Organization in 1993, GRS has been celebrating the event and this time it invited all the best performing officers from Customs Check Points of Georgia to mark their professional day.

Event was attended by officials of the executive authorities of the country and international organizations.

Audience was addressed by Mr. Giorgi Tabuashvili, First Deputy Minister of Finance and Director General (DG) of the GRS. He congratulated the customs officers from all over the country with their professional day.

Traditionally, Certificates of Excellence were awarded as institutionalised by the General Secretary of the World Customs Organization for the integrity, high calibre professionalism and dedication of customs officers.

Officials of the partner international organizations, public institutions and business sector were also rewarded at the key-note event for their contribution in the development of customs system of Georgia.
