H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia met with Messrs. Alex Mascatelli and Paul Gamble of Fitch Rating Agency on September 7, 2016.
Parties discussed current macroeconomic position of Georgia and region, along with the major directions of economic policy of the country. Minister of Finance shared information with visitors on the 4 Point Plan of the Government of Georgia aimed at facilitating the business development and attraction of foreign and domestic investments. Meeting was also focused on the reform agenda in the taxation system, implying the introduction of an Estonian Model, i.e. transformed framework of the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) from January 1, 2017.
Currently BB- Outlook Stable is the credit ranking assigned to Georgia by Fitch International Rating Agency.
Visitors will also hold other meetings with public and private sector representatives of Georgia within the scope of their official trip to the country.
