NEW MINISTER OF FINANCE ASSUMES HIS DUTIES



H.E. Dimitry Kumsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia has held his first formal meeting with the management officials of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia (MOF) since his appointment.

Mr. Nodar Khaduri, former Minister of Finance officially introduced H.E. Dimitry Kumsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia to Deputy Ministers and Department Heads.

He once again thanked his colleagues for cooperation and wished great success to the newly appointed Minister in his future endeavors.

H.E. Dimitry Kumsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia expressed his gratitude to Mr. Nodar Khaduri for his past efforts and noted that it is important for him to head such significant institution as the Ministry of Finance.

“It is my first day in this official duty. We are launching a very demanding process. We shall be submitting the updated Draft State Budget for 2017 to the Executive Government Meeting tomorrow and later on to the Parliament of Georgia. I am confident that Ministry of Finance of Georgia as a key institution will make its impact on the rapid development of the country, towards which a lot of significant decisions will be issued” noted H.E. Dimitry Kumsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia.

H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia signed an Order today according to which H.E. Dimitry Kumsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia will also assume the duties of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia.
