The Minister of Finance, Ivane Matchavariani and the Acting Ambassador of United States to Georgia, Elizabeth Rood discussed the issues of partnership between Georgia and the United States of America.

The meeting which was held at the Ministry of Finance was also attended by the new director of U.S Agency for International Development, Mr Peter Wiebler.

During the meeting, parties discussed the implemented and planned reforms by the Government of Georgia. During the discussion was emphasized the importance of the strengthening relations between Georgia and the USA in the fields of economic and trade relations.

The sides also talked about partner country’s support in the direction of fostering the capacity of the Fiscal Service of the Ministry of Finance.

The sides expressed the hope that in the future two countries will still continue active cooperation.
