The prospects of cooperation between the Ministries of Finance of Georgia and Azerbaijan were discussed by the Minister of Finance of Georgia Ivane Matchavariani and the Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov during bilateral meeting in Baku.
The Ministers discussed the necessity of developing trade-economic relations between the two countries. Discussions focused on budgetary and tax policy issues and measures planned by Georgia and Azerbaijan governments to improve business environment.
Ivane Matchavariani informed the Azerbaijanian colleague about the economic developments in Georgian, positive macroeconomic indicators, economic and structural reforms since the beginning of the year.
At the end of the meeting, the parties once again emphasized the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan and expressed the hope, that the relationship between two countries will deepen in the future.
