Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and International Monetary Fund has been extended



Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and International Monetary Fund has been extended. The relevant memorandum was signed by Minister of Finance, Ivane MaTchavariani, Director of the Joint Institute of Vienna, Thomas Richardson, Director of the International Monetary Fund for Capacity development Institute, Sharmini Coorey.

Training courses are of international level and it has been implemented in Georgia the seventh year already. In order to participate in them, along with Georgian colleagues are invited the representatives of Finance and  Economic Ministries of Central Asian and South Caucasus Region Countries and of the representative of National Bank and this year, on the basis of negotiations with the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations Vienna Institute in Georgia the courses planned in Georgia were joined by participants from Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus, on the basis of which the Academy of the Ministry of Finance covers the part of Eastern Europe already.


Conducting IMF training courses in Georgia facilitates active involvement of the country in international educational programs of the Monetary Fund and helps the country develop as a leading regional education center where high level of professional training, as well as
Raising qualifications and sharing of Georgian reforms are carried out.
