H.E. Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia is participating in the 10th Anniversary Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which is being hosted by China this year.

As part of the meeting, Minister held a meeting with H.E. Jin Liqun, AIIB President.

Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia also attended the meeting.

The discussions focused on bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the progress of AIIB-funded projects in Georgia and future plans.

The Minister of Finance briefed the AIIB President on the current state of Georgia's economy and medium-term forecasts. The conversation also covered the implementation of large-scale international infrastructure projects underway in the country.

During the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in support of Georgia’s sustainable development.

As of today, AIIB’s credit portfolio in Georgia stands at approximately USD 550 million.
