H.E. Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia met Shomik Mehndiratta, Transport Practice Manager in Europe and Central Asia at the World Bank, who is on a working visit to Georgia.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss existing and potential partnerships in the transport sector.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Finance, the parties discussed the cooperation between the World Bank and Georgia, with a particular focus on investment projects in the areas of roads, railways and transportation logistics.
The importance of ongoing and planned projects was emphasized in the context of constructing the East-West Highway and unlocking the transit potential of the Middle Corridor.
The meeting was attended by Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia and Rolande Pryce, Regional Director of the World Bank for the South Caucasus.
