TWINNING PROJECT COMING TO ITS END



Closing ceremony of an EU-funded Twinning Project for the Capacity Building of the Academy of the Ministry of Finance within the initiative of public sector cooperation was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia on May 27, 2015. Event was attended by H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Boris Yaroshevich, Deputy EU Mission Chief, H.E. Crister Micelson, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Finland to Georgia, Mr. Prit Turk and Ms. Tamar Japaridze, Principal of the Academy of the Ministry of Finance.
Project was aimed at empowering the strategic management of the Academy, development and implementation of superior quality training programs and professional career development, along with the improvement of quality assurance and management system. Following achievements have been made within the project: Strategy Paper of the Academy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia for 2015-2020, catalogue and calendar of training courses, e-learning and e-trainings, work appraisal system, quality assurance and management manual, retrained human resource management specialists. Project was implemented by the Finnish-Estonian Consortium – Public Administration Institute of Finland (HAUS) along with the Public Service Development and Training Centre of Estonian Security Science Academy (ATAK).
Twinning Program between the public services of various countries is a tool for facilitating the institutional development, which implies cooperation between the public administrations of EU member states and beneficiary countries.
